FAQs
Most Commonly Asked Questions
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No, you don’t need a referral to access physiotherapy at home. You can contact us directly to book an appointment. However, if you’ve recently seen your GP or other health professional, it can be helpful to share any relevant information or reports so we can tailor your treatment to your specific needs.
What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?
We understand that plans can change and sometimes things come up unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact us by phone or email at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another patient.
Unfortunately, cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment time will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
What happens at my appointment?
At your first appointment, your physiotherapist will visit you at home for a chat about your health, goals, and how your condition affects you day to day. We’ll carry out a physical assessment which may include elements such as movement, strength, and balance and then create a personalised treatment plan just for you. Treatment usually begins in the first session, so you can start working towards your goals straight away.
How long will my appointment last?
Your first appointment usually lasts around one hour, giving us plenty of time to get to know you, complete a thorough assessment, and start your treatment. Follow-up sessions are typically 45 minutes, but we can adjust this to suit your needs, energy levels, and goals.
Meet Claire
Meet Claire, Founder
Hello, I’m Claire — a physiotherapist with over 28 years of experience working across the NHS and independent sector. I’m passionate about helping people recover, regain confidence, and get back to doing the things they enjoy most.
My career has taken me from busy hospital wards, supporting patients in elderly care, orthopaedic surgery, and respiratory recovery, to community and residential settings for people with complex neurological needs. I’ve also gained valuable experience in musculoskeletal therapy, general surgery, and gynaecology.
I especially enjoy working with older adults, helping them stay independent, move more easily, and feel confident in their own homes. My approach is relaxed, flexible, and focused on what matters most to you. Whether you’re recovering from illness or surgery, managing a long-term condition, or simply wanting to stay steady on your feet, I tailor each session to your goals, making rehabilitation positive, enjoyable, and achievable.
I love watching people grow stronger, move more freely, and surprise themselves with what they can do. Those moments are exactly why I love what I do.
Outside of my role as a physiotherapist, I like spending time with my family, getting outdoors with my dog, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen, with mixed results!
Start your recovery today.
Let’s take the first step together. Whether it’s improving balance, building strength, or recovering after surgery — we’re here to support you every step of the way.
